CHRIST­MAS IN LEIS­TON

Leis­ton’s Long Shop Mu­seum is host­ing a Vic­to­rian themed evening on Sat­ur­day, De­cem­ber 1. The evening starts at 6pm with an abridged ver­sion of Charles Dick­ens’ A Christ­mas Carol, re­cited by An­thony Roberts, di­rec­tor of the Colch­ester Arts Cen­tre, with pi­ano by Jamie Cun­liffe. There will be fes­tive re­fresh­ments and a rous­ing sing-a-long with the New Song Com­mu­nity Choir from Ip­swich, per­form­ing a mix of cus­tom­ary Christ­mas songs and tra­di­tional car­ols for ev­ery­one to join in. Vis­i­tors are wel­come to get into the spirit by dress­ing in Vic­to­rian cos­tume. Tick­ets: £12.50 adults, £7.50 chil­dren un­der 14 from the mu­seum. Some tick­ets may be avail­able on the night.
