Festivities are in full flow at Blackthorpe Barn
Christmas at Blackthorpe Barn, in Rougham just outside Bury St Edmunds is in full swing with an amazing array of everything you need for this year’s festivities. The Country Christmas shop is open every day until 22nd December. There are decorations galore with amazing themes of all shapes, sizes and colours. A visit is a must for gifts for all the family and its pets, choose from traditional and nostalgic collections.
Each weekend up to 16 December visitors can treat themselves to the most beautiful handmade items from some of the country’s most talented crafts people. Showcasing the very best of British crafts each item is individually hand-crafted by the exhibitor themselves.
For visitors wishing to unleash their own creativity, they can attend one of the craft-led workshops where they can get hands-on at making their very own masterpieces. Choose from beautiful Christmas garlands and wreaths, kissing balls and angels. Workshops can be booked online.
For those wanting the best quality tree as their main attraction this Christmas, the 23 November sees the start of the famous Rougham Estate Christmas trees sales. Each tree has been carefully nurtured by Farm Manager Simon Eddell in plantations surrounding the barn. Holly, mistletoe and artisan wreaths made by Julie Reed, London trained florist are also available.
