Christ­mas at Black­thorpe Barn, in Rougham just out­side Bury St Ed­munds is in full swing with an amaz­ing ar­ray of ev­ery­thing you need for this year’s fes­tiv­i­ties. The Coun­try Christ­mas shop is open ev­ery day un­til 22nd De­cem­ber. There are dec­o­ra­tions galore with amaz­ing themes of all shapes, sizes and colours. A visit is a must for gifts for all the fam­ily and its pets, choose from tra­di­tional and nos­tal­gic col­lec­tions.

Each week­end up to 16 De­cem­ber vis­i­tors can treat them­selves to the most beau­ti­ful hand­made items from some of the coun­try’s most tal­ented crafts peo­ple. Show­cas­ing the very best of British crafts each item is in­di­vid­u­ally hand-crafted by the ex­hibitor them­selves.

For vis­i­tors wish­ing to un­leash their own cre­ativ­ity, they can at­tend one of the craft-led work­shops where they can get hands-on at mak­ing their very own mas­ter­pieces. Choose from beau­ti­ful Christ­mas gar­lands and wreaths, kiss­ing balls and an­gels. Work­shops can be booked on­line.

For those want­ing the best qual­ity tree as their main at­trac­tion this Christ­mas, the 23 No­vem­ber sees the start of the fa­mous Rougham Es­tate Christ­mas trees sales. Each tree has been care­fully nur­tured by Farm Man­ager Si­mon Ed­dell in plan­ta­tions sur­round­ing the barn. Holly, mistle­toe and ar­ti­san wreaths made by Julie Reed, Lon­don trained florist are also avail­able.

Black­thorpe Barn is just three miles east of Bury St Ed­munds in Suf­folk, off the A14 at junc­tion 45 (Sat Nav IP30 9HZ).
