If you’re look­ing for some­thing to do over the hol­i­day pe­riod, pop into Ip­swich Art Gallery’s Women 100 ex­hi­bi­tion which marks the 100 year an­niver­sary of the Rep­re­sen­ta­tion of the Peo­ple Act that gave some women the right to vote. On show are 100 art­works by women from the Ip­swich col­lec­tions. Dis­cover work by artists from the 1700s to present day, in­clud­ing the work of Suf­folk suf­fragette Amy K Brown­ing. Other high­lights in­clude paint­ings by Rose Mead, an ac­tive mem­ber of the So­ci­ety of Women Artists, Anna Airy, the first pres­i­dent of the Ip­swich Art So­ci­ety, and sculp­tures by Ellen Mary Rope, a unique col­lec­tion of First World War pas­tel sketches by Blanche G Vul­liamy that re­veal Lon­don streets 1916-1918, and con­tem­po­rary artists Maggi Ham­bling, Jelly Green and more. ip­­en100ex­hi­bi­tion
