BBC journalist Sophie Raworth, has signed up for a sponsored walk to raise money for the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds. The walk is part of the theatre’s 200th anniversary celebrations, and will raise funds for the theatre’s work in the community. Principal walkers Tony Kelly and Dawn Roberts have designed a 200-mile trail through Suffolk and Norfolk which follows the route taken by a troupe of performers 200 years ago, who toured theatres in the larger towns. The Theatre Royal is the only remaining venue.

The 200 for 200 starts in Cambridge on April 13, finishing on April 22 at the theatre, with a welcome party for all the walkers. People can participate on the last day by walking either 15 or eight miles. The 200 for 200 is sponsored by Bury Physio and supported by the East Anglian Daily Times and the Mercury Series . Details: theatreroyal. org/200-for-200
