NEW ECO BRAND FROM SUFFOLK
First time Suffolk entrepreneur Lynne Jardine has launched Ginger & Jardine from her home in Creeting St Peter, near Stowmarket, a range of eco friendly clothing designed with lovers of country pursuits in mind.
The start-up range of long sleeve tops/base layers, roll neck tops, socks and children’s clothing is made with bamboo, making it not only comfortable and stylish, but also ethical, sustainable and mostly made in the UK. Shirts and polo shirts will be added for spring 2020.
Lynne decided to fill a gap in the market when she became frustrated by a lack of clothing designed for country pursuits that uses sustainable and comfortable fabrics.
Born, bred, and still happily resident in Suffolk, she previously worked in the telecommunications sector as a chartered surveyor and has launched Ginger & Jardine with no experience of the clothing industry.
“Setting up my own clothing brand has been a steep but very rewarding and enjoyable learning curve,” she says. “My initial visits to UK manufacturers were daunting, but everyone, without exception, has been very helpful and supportive.
“I’m passionate about keeping the operation within the UK as much as possible, having seen first-hand the impact of the decline in this industry.”
The launch range of roll neck tops is available from just £32, long sleeve tops from £29. So, check out this new Suffolk born brand that you can wear with comfort and confidence in its eco credentials.
