Kids shine in nativity plays

Nicola Findlay Youngsters across East Kilbride added some sparkle to festivitie­s with Christmas s hows and t he more traditiona­l Nativity plays.

Canberra Primary School pupils presented Sparkle, whi c h t o l d t h e s t o r y o f a little star who wanted to do s omething i mportant and she was the chosen star who l ed t he Wise Men and t he shepherds to Baby Jesus in Bethlehem.

Head teacher Linda Gardner said: “All children took part in the show, either a s a membe r o f t h e c a s t or part of t he singing chorus.”

And another great show was presented by t he t alented children of St L e o n a r d’s P r i mar y wh e n parents and family members joined the children for their performanc­e of their Nativity ‘It’s a Baby!’

The chil dren of P2 t ook the leading parts and were supported by the P1 children on stage.

The P3 choir had the job of holding the show together with their wonderful voices.
