Ross on right road by winning comp

A sixth-year pupil at Duncanrig got a wheely good start to his Christmas holidays by winning the News’ driving competition in conjunction with Freedom School of Motoring.

Ross MacGregor (17), from Jackton, was over the moon to win 10 lessons with Freedom after being drawn from all of the entries sent in to the East Kilbride News.

The teenager is hoping to go to university next year and told the News getting his licence will be a big boost to him.

Ross said: “I was going to look at getting lessons, so I was delighted to be picked as the winner.

“Being able to drive will help me if I head off to university next year.”
