Awards for little stars with the Big C
Cancer Research UK’s annual Little Star Awards recognise the courage of children who confront cancer.
The awards are backed by a number of f amous f aces including Scots singer Emeli Sande.
Around 110 children are diagnosed with cancer each y e a r i n S c ot l a nd a nd t hi s year 66 received a Little Star Award.
The awards are open to all youngsters under the age of 18 who have been t reate d for the disease in the last five years.
Recipients get a unique t rophy, a £ 50 TK Maxx gift card and a certificate signed by celebrities.
TK Maxx has supported the charity since 2004 and has raised around £13.2 million to help beat children’s cancers sooner.
