Teachers in the spotlight at awards
Staff reporter The search for South La n a r k s h i r e ’s br i g h t e s t education stars is underway as nominations open for the Scottish Education Awards 2015.

Angela Constance, Cabinet Secretary for education and lifelong learning, said: “Teachers, and t hose who support education, are the lifeblood of our schools and co m mu ni t i e s an d th e s e awards help us to celebrate that.
“Schools across Scotland are working really hard and t his is a great opportunity to make sure they are getting the recognition they deserve.”
Th e r e i s a wi d e va r i e t y of award categories which re c ognise and re ward t he dedication of teaching staff and educational supporters.
Entry is open to all publicly f unded s c hools i ncl uding secondary, primary, nursery and special schools.
