Chapelton

In the scraping the bottom of the barrel stakes, quizmaster Euan McEwan is king, as he persists in trying to deliver a quiz despite having used up almost every question from every book he has ever had. So, as with recent weeks there was very low scoring in the final night of this year in the weekly quiz in the Chapelton Inn. The winners, or should we say the best of the worst were The Wright Stuff on a fairly unimpressive score of 62. In silver medal position and two points back were the Infamous 4, who were for this occasion a trio. The return of Larry failed to inspire them to a victory as The Bar Lizards took bronze on 45 points. De Hammy Hamsters return failed to live up to their earlier promise and the last two teams marked ‘X’ on their score sheets for no publicity, to spare their blushes. For 2015, it is only to be hoped Euan’s letter to Santa asking for a new quiz book will be answered.
