Bowled over for charity
Participants take to the green Avondale Bowling Club have raised hundreds of pounds for the British Heart Foundation at their charity bowls tournament.
The event saw the Avondale, Chapelton, Strathaven and Whitemoss clubs raise over £400 as they competed to win the top prizes. There were eight teams in total taking part, with each club putting out two teams, before players from Avondale and Chapelton competed in the final rounds.
Sheila McIntyre of the Strathaven Hotel presented prizes to Marjorie McPherson and Sandy Gibb of Chapelton and Dave Reynolds from Avondale following the final.
