A Murray man denied permanently disfiguring a man with a knife.
Shaun McCluskey, 30, is accused of assaulting him by repeatedly butting him on the head, punching him on the head and body and striking him with a knife at an address in Lyttleton on April 11.
McCluskey also faces a charge of threatening behaviour by shouting and swearing, punching and kicking a door, pulling a TV from the wall and throwing a bottle at a wall, causing it to smash.
It is claimed he also assaulted his former partner by spitting on her face.
McCluskey, of Anniversary Avenue, pled not guilty to all charges at Hamilton Sheriff Court and was bailed until January 16. after a domestic disturbance on Boxing Day.
Christopher Hughes, of Pine Crescent, broke bail when he repeatedly shouted and swore at his partner and challenged others to fight at an address in Tiber Avenue, Motherwell.
The 30-year-old also made violent threats and struggled with police officers, attempting to kick them.
He pled guilty to a charge of threatening behaviour at Hamilton Sheriff Court and was granted bail until he is sentenced on January 11. A man who caused a ruckus on Christmas Eve while in possession of a knife was given a chance to change his ways.
James Mitchell, 64, pled guilty to causing fear and alarm by striking windows at his address on Netherton Road with a piece of wood and taking possession of the knife.
Sentence was deferred until March 16 at Hamilton Sheriff Court for Mitchell to be of good behaviour. A Murray man who breached a court order by contacting his partner has been hit with a £100 fine. Nico Donnelly, 24, described as a prisoner at Barlinnie, is charged with housebreaking at Swift Place on January 15, last year.
Donnelly denied the charge at Hamilton Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody until his trial on January 16.
