Look out for hotspots

Road closures affecting the East Kilbride and Avondale area:

East Kilbride AULDHOUSE ROAD. Closed between the roundabout with Shields Road/Lindsayfield Avenue and 30 metres south of Benthall Farm access until November 5 to allow works associated with the new Taylor Wimpey housing development. Alternative route is via Auldhouse Road, Greenhills Road, A726 Strathaven Road, Thorn Highway, Millwell Road, Cleughearn Road, Auldhouse Road and vice versa. MOSS ROAD. Closed its full length until midnight on Sunday, November 5, to allow works associated with the new Taylor Wimpey housing development. There is no alternative route.

Auldhouse MEADOWHEAD HIGHWAY. Closed from Meadowhead Farm access to Cladence Highway to midnight on April 12, 2018, due to the road being in an unsafe condition. Alternative route is via Cladence Highway, Millwell Road and Ardochrig Road.

Strathaven B745 WPL HIGHWAY. Closed between C133 WPL Highway and Waterhead Peel and Linbank Highway until midnight on Sunday, March 26, for improvement works to Geil Bridge. Alternative route is via B745 WPL Highway, B743 Muirkirk Road, A71 Darvel Road and vice versa. Gilmourton RYELAND STATION HIGHWAY. Closed between A71 Darvel Road and Waterhead Peelhill Highway (between A71 and B743) from Thursday, March 23 until Saturday, March 25 for essential road maintenance.
