-

It was destination Ayrshire for Claremont Rambling Club’s latest excursion.

Members followed a route along the River Ayr Way, starting from the bottom of Glen Buck Loch and finishing eight miles later, at Wellwood electrical sub-station.

The alternative group had the opportunity to finish 4.5 miles within this route at Kames caravan park where the bar/café offered respite and suitable refreshments.

Weather overall was reasonable for this time of the year, however, not totally dry but rather warm.

The morning coffee stop was taken at Cairn Lodge Services, Happendon, and the social hour was at Kames caravan park bar/café.

Individuals wishing to join either walks or club nights can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome.
