The Entertainer andTim Hortons set up shop
More jobs look set to be created when the UK’s biggest toy store chain and a famous Canadian coffee shop come to East Kilbride Shopping Centre.
Toy giant The Entertainer will soon be moving into the old H. Samuel unit in the Plaza just in time for Christmas.
And Tim Hortons will also be setting up shop in a neighbouring unit.
The iconic brand is renowned for its signature coffee, tasty doughnuts and deliciously sweet Timbits treats.
Although the company has yet to officially confirm the new store, they are already on the hunt for staff with an advertisement for a team member/baker posted online.
The quick service coffee shop is looking for an someone who is outgoing, passionate about service and ‘looking for somewhere to have fun at work’.
A spokesperson for EK, East Kilbride said: “As part of our ongoing development programme we are always working to bring new retailers to the centre.
“I am delighted to confirm that we will soon welcome the UK’s largest toy shop chain, The Entertainer, to EK, East Kilbride and can also confirm that we are in advanced discussions with Tim Hortons about a possible move to EK.
“The Entertainer will occupy part of the old H. Samuel unit, with the 4000 sq. ft shop scheduled to open in time for Christmas.
“More details about these and other developments will follow in the coming weeks.”
Tim Hortons is part of the fabric of Canada with more than 4000 restaurants serving over two billion cups of freshly-brewed coffee.
The firm was founded in 1964 by the professional ice hockey player whose vision was to create homely cafes.
The brand arrived in Scotland this summer, opening up in Glasgow’s Argyle Street and has announced a second store at Silverburn Shopping Centre with plans for another outlet on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street.
