Man denies making threats
Trial was set for a Westwood man accused of threatening his partner and police officers.
Brian Kelly, 30, of Belmont Drive, denied behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on November 1 at his home and elsewhere in East Kilbride.
He is accused of repeatedly sending text messages to his partner in which he repeatedly uttered threats to harm himself, repeatedly shouting and swearing at police officers who telephoned to check on his welfare, phoning his partner, shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence and doing the same to police officers.
At Hamilton Sheriff Court, trial was set for January 11 next year with an interim hearing due to take place on December 14.
