Cops in search for drugs

Police uncovered cannabis plants during a raid on an East Kilbride flat.

Officers acting under warrant searched the property at Clyde Tower, St Leonards, last Thursday and four of the plants were found.

A 38-year-old man was reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with alleged drug offences.

●A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted break-in.

Police were called to an address in Mount Cameron North, St Leonards, on Monday morning after reports of an individual trying to gain access to a private garden.

It is claimed the man was also found in possession of 96 grams of herbal cannabis.

●Three people were arrested following a disturbanc­e in the Village.

It’s claimed a 24-year-old woman and two men, both aged 26, were fighting in Kittoch Street at around 2.40pm on Friday. The trio were expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

●A 14-year-old boy faces weapon and drug charges.

Cops visited a property in East Kilbride on Friday after reports of a strong smell of cannabis coming from the location. The teen was allegedly found in possession of a lockback knife.
