East Kilbride News - - MEMORY LANE -

East Kilbride was one of the towns involved in a police raid where over £200,000 worth of “pirate” computer software was seized for examination. Officers from CID in Glasgow carried out simultaneous raids in the city and Wishaw.

Fifty unemployed people were told their job club was being closed by the department of employment. They were told to join job clubs elsewhere but had refused to do so.
