East Kilbride News - - MEMORY LANE -

The only solution to unpleasant living conditions for tenants in Westwood Square was to rehouse them all and turn their flats into offices.

That was the information given at a meeting between residents and representatives of Westwood Community Council.

Meanwhile, the standard of grass cutting and general maintenance of the landscape came under fire from East Kilbride district councillors.

And East Kilbride Handball Club would not be held responsible for damages to Calderwood Hall during a club disco.

A front window of the hall was smashed – causing £74 worth of damage. But councillors voted to waive the club’s bill.
