Lynch seals Killie switch

Kilby first team youngster Edin Lynch has joined Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock after a short trial spell.

The 18-year-old defender joined from PartickThistle in 2017 , making his first team debut for Kilby against Spartans in March of this year, and made his switch to Rugby Park last week

Lynch progressed through EK’s development process at U20 and Reserve level, making a handful of appearances for the first team.

EK’s director of football, Jim Mullin, said:“It is great to see young talent like Edin, whom the club has helped to develop, get the opportunity to move to a Premiership side.

“This is another great example of the opportunities that are available to young players at our club if they work hard and dedicate themselves.”

Derby delight for Blues

East Kilbride’s Under 19 Blues came out on top on Sunday afternoon as they ran out 2-0 winners against Kilby’s U19 Golds at K-Park.

Both EK teams were drawn against each other in the Scottish Cup second round with the Blues securing their place in the third round.

The points were wrapped up at half time through two goals from captain Dylan Collins, as he capitalised on an early mistake and some slack defending from Golds.

Under-17s raise the Barr

The under-17s continued their winning streak as they put four past Barrhead YFC in their Scottish Cup first round tie.

The 4-1 victory secured the side’s progression into the next round with goals from Mitchell Foley, Lewis Milligan, Kalvin Hill and Blair Hill.
