West Coast In­spired – New Ex­hi­bi­tion by Joan Gray

Joan makes a wel­come re­turn after three years with her new ex­hi­bi­tion. Since ex­hibit­ing in 2015, Joan has been us­ing painted pa­pers, dyed fab­rics and found objects to cre­ate a new body of work. The free ex­hi­bi­tion runs at East Kil­bride Arts Cen­tre from Satur­day, Novem­ber 3 to Sun­day, Novem­ber 25.

New Vic Play­ers present Great Ex­pec­ta­tions

In this 2007 adap­ta­tion of Charles Dick­ens’ 13th novel, Neil Bartlett cre­ates a pow­er­ful stage ver­sion of the clas­sic story. At the arts cen­tre from Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 14 to Satur­day, Novem­ber 17 at 7.30pm. £12.

The EKO Play­ers present Robin­son Cru­soe The Truth

Robin­son Cru­soe takes a job on a ship, not re­al­is­ing that the cap­tain is a wicked pi­rate, seek­ing trea­sure. In­evitably, they are ship­wrecked but just when Robin­son thinks he’s alone on a desert is­land, his mother and sweet­heart come to the res­cue.

The pan­tomime runs at the arts cen­tre from Thurs­day, Novem­ber 22 to Satur­day, Novem­ber 24 at 7.30pm/ Satur­day mati­nee 2.30pm. £8/£6.

EROS Mu­si­cal So­ci­ety present Cin­derella

Spe­cially adapted for the club by the ac­claimed Ge­orge Dou­glas, we fol­low the story of Cin­derella, from down­trod­den ser­vant to glit­ter­ing princess, along the way meeting her friends and her two ugly sis­ters. At the Vil­lage The­atre from Tues­day, Novem­ber 20 to Fri­day, Novem­ber 23 at 7.30pm and Satur­day, Novem­ber at 6pm/mati­nee 1pm. £12. Fam­ily tick­ets avail­able.

Green­hills Panto Club presents Alice in Won­der­land

After fall­ing asleep un­der­neath a tree Alice wakes, spots the White Rab­bit and fol­lows him down a rab­bit hole into Won­der­land.

Fol­lowed by her mother, they meet the evil Knave of Spades, who has de­signs on mar­ry­ing Princess Ruby of Hearts and rul­ing Won­der­land. Alice joins the Mad Hat­ter, March Hare and Dor­mouse, for a hi­lar­i­ous tea party in Mud­dleup Wood. At the Vil­lage The­atre from Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 28 to Satur­day, De­cem­ber 1 at 7.30pm/Satur­day mati­nee 2pm. £7/£5.

East Kil­bride Reper­tory The­atre Club presents Jack and the Beanstalk

This De­cem­ber the Vil­lage The­atre be­comes Lit­tle Glaikit – the town be­ing ter­rorised by the evil gi­ant Blun­der­bore. Will our hero Jack find a way to save the town, res­cue Jill, do his chores and keep his Snapchat streak up? Only one way to find out! Stu­dio32 presents Peter Pan

Turn right at the sec­ond star and fly away to Nev­er­land with Stu­dio32 and their much-loved panto. Join Peter, Tinker­bell, Wendy and the Lost Boys on their swash­buck­ling jour­ney to save Nev­er­land from the vil­lain­ous Cap­tain Hook, his bum­bling side­kick Smee and their crew of das­tardly pi­rates.

Running Late The­atre Com­pany present Wait­ing for Gabriel

It’s Christ­mas Eve and a group of strangers who were once friends wait for Gabriel. A va­cancy has opened up so if they want that pro­mo­tion, they’ll have to im­press him.

They’ve each been wait­ing 2000 years, have plenty of work ex­pe­ri­ence and the right skills for the job so they re­ally shouldn’t let a lit­tle friendly rivalry dis­tract them be­fore he ar­rives. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served after the per­for­mance at the arts cen­tre from Fri­day, De­cem­ber 21 to Sun­day, De­cem­ber 23 at 8pm/Sun­day mati­nee 3pm. £12. Heav­enly com­edy
