Latest hospital waiting times
Waiting times at East Kilbride’s A&E unit showed a slight improvement – but remained below the average for NHS Lanarkshire.
Latest figures for the week ending Sunday, November 11, show 87.9 per cent of patients were admitted, transferred or discharged within four hours at University Hospital Hairmyres.
This is an improvement on the previous week when 84.4 per cent of patients were seen during that time period.
However, the figure was below the health board average of 89.9 per cent and the NHS Scotland average of 89.1per cent.
The Scottish Government target is 95 per cent.
At University Hospital Monklands in Airdrie, 94.4 per cent of patients were seen within four hours but Hairmyres’ figure was above University Hospital Wishaw, which posted 87.4 per cent.
Meanwhile, the latest statistics showed that 22 patients waited over eight hours at Hairmyres A&E with a total of six waiting more than 12. This compares to 39 and 20, respectively, the previous week.
