Thief is jailed for six months

A thief who struck in East Kilbride town centre has been jailed for six months at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

Ian MacDonald, 32, of Lindsay House homeless unit, Kittoch Street, the Village admitted stealing a mobile phone and a bank card in Debenhams on December 9 last year.

MacDonald admitted a long list of previous convictions.
