I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! has returned to our telly screens with ITV poster girl Holly Willoughby bringing a new dimension to this year’s show.
But what do the viewers think of this year’s celebrity line-up and who is the favourite to be named king or queen of the jungle 2018? The News asked East Kilbride shoppers who they have tipped to take the jungle crown.
Despite not being a fan of reality TV, 87-yearold Daniel Harris from The Murray is backing football manager Harry Redknapp. He said: “Most people my age have no interest in watching reality TV. I prefer Have I Got News for You. But I like Harry Redknapp so I’d back him to win.”
Hazel Aitken of Stewartfield, pictured with five of her nine grandchildren, is a fan of the show. She said: “I didn’t think I’d like Holly at first, I miss Ant and Dec together, but she’s doing well. It is a bit like a fashion show, though. Emily is really nice and brave for doing the snake challenge but Harry is my favourite.”
Ian Galston, 50, of Crutherland Gate said: “I still find it entertaining with the beastie count. I’d do it for Holly’s money! I want John Barrowman to win because he’s Scottish.”
Meg Ramsay, 17, from Lindsayfield said: “Holly and Dec are really funny together. I like Nick Knowles, Harry and Anne from The Chase. I would like to see Anne win it.”
