Hospice donation
The Caledonian Humanist Association made a festive donation of £500 to the Kilbryde Hospice.
They recently held a training day for funeral celebrants at South Lanarkshire crematorium.
The ethos of the Association is to make regular donations to good causes within celebrants’ local communities.
And as a gesture of thanks for the use of crematorium facilities, they asked South Lanarkshire Council’s Bereavement Services to nominate such a cause.
They chose Kilbryde Hospice and treasurer of the association, Julie Reid, presented the cheque to Karlyn Robertson, assistant fundraising manager for the hospice, pictured above.
