Praise for Sea Cadets
Linda Fabiani has praised the East Kilbride Sea Cadets after scooping a national award.
The MSP had previously met the squadron during a recent visit to the Scottish Parliament.
That saw her present them with the Burgee and their commendation.
Since then the unit have gone onto receive further acclaim.
They received the Indefatigable Trophy for most improved unit in the UK and to celebrate their success Linda lodged a motion in Parliament on their behalf.
She said:“I was delighted to host East Kilbride’s brilliant Sea Cadets in Parliament and present them with their well-earned certificates and Burgee.
“I was pleased to hear too that the unit have since won the Indefatigable Trophy – an award won through hard work from cadets, staff and parents.
“To recognise their success, I lodged a motion in parliament – congratulations to all.”
