At the traffic meeting in December regarding Threestanes Road and Lethame Road concern was shared about the revised traffic measures, including “speed bumps” in Overton Road and the signs for a very short 30mph limit within an otherwise 20mph roads.

Concern was also expressed about drivers not adhering to the Highway Code by parking less than 15 metres from junctions on the Commercial Road and Overton Road junction.

Margot advised the John Hastie Museum was having a quiz on February 22 and hoped the community council would put in two teams.

A planning application has been submitted for a domestic building adjacent to The Drumclog Inn. Members do not think it will have an adverse impact on the Inn or the vicinity.

The chair thanked everyone for attending and closed the meeting at 8.45pm The next meeting will be held on Tuesday January 29 at 7pm in Avondale Community Wing.
