Business is UK’s largest digital signage firm
An East Kilbride company has overseen the creation of the UK’s largest digital signage business.
Merson Group have teamed up with Inurface Media to form new digital signage business Merson Digital Ltd.
The move brings together 300 staff across the UK and Europe, and utilises the parties’ combined resources.
Merson Group chief executive, Roddy Angus, said: “We have been working with Inurface Media for three years and have undertaken a number of projects with them.
“This has allowed us to build an excellent relationship and it is a logical progression for us to move to formalise the relationship.
“We are really excited about extending our product range to include LED/LCD displays and the associated services.”
Merson have established joint procurement links with the Bauer Digital range of products offered, which will now be available to clients.
The formation of a new company will trade out of Merson’s south-east facility in Basildon.
The companies now offer an integrated end-to-end supply of digital signage at scale and pace, with a focus on supplying digital screens.
Products will be supplied under the well-established ‘Bauer Digital’ brand, offering quality, bespoke solutions for their clients.
It has been a big year for the Kelvin Industrial Estate firm who completed almost two years of work at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (right).
They were drafted in to create the digitised signage for the new billionplus-pound stadium, situated in the north of London.
They helped provide the stadium’s ‘way finding’ and ‘vomitory’ signage, to help the 62,062 navigate their way around.
As well as signage leading punters to their seats, the company helped with advertising and VIP signage, utilising both dynamic and anodised digital signage.
They also worked to implement under lighting at the vomitory tunnels, of which there are 25 on each of the nine stadium levels. One of the company’s most impressive pieces of work was an external lighting feature using LEDs to create an illuminated ‘Tottenham cockerel’.
Merson also created 3000 engraved stainless steel row numbers directing fans to their seats.
