Ya Beauty, panto a hit

-

Ticket sales for Motherwell Theatre’s panto, Beauty and the Beast, are soaring.

With more than 36,000 already sold, Motherwell Theatre and Spillers Pantomimes have just announced additional shows for this year’s blockbuster run.

With record-breaking advance sales, the theatre has responded to public demand by adding additional shows in January.

So if you haven’t already booked, this is another chance to get some tickets for the most anticipated show of the year!

David Carroll, business development manager at Motherwell Theatre, said “Beauty and the Beast opened on Sunday, November 17, to a sell-out theatre, and we’ve had fantastic audience reaction and feedback to the opening night performance.

“Full of classic panto banter, striking sets and stunning costumes, the early indications are it’s going to be another sensational year for Lanarkshire’s biggest and best Christmas panto.”

The annual pantomime is sponsored by Motherwell shopping centre, with support from Arts and Business Scotland through the Culture and Business Fund Scotland.

Geraldine El Masrour, centre manager of sponsors, Motherwell shopping centre, said:“I am delighted to hear that more dates are required due to popular demand.

“This is our second year as sponsors and we are proud to support and be a partner of this wonderful Motherwell Theatre panto again this year.”

Ian‘Sheepie’Smith – nominated for best comic in the Great British pantomime awards – plays the lovable and hilarious sidekick, Lumiere in the show, with Brooke Thomson in the leading role as Belle.

And although it might be a tale as old as time, the new Christmas panto adaptation promises to have surprises and plot twists in store too, as well as plenty of sillyness.

Tickets start from £15 and can be booked by calling 01698 403120 or visit culturenl.co.uk for more details on the show.
