Supermarket offering up a tasty office party

-

Morrisons in Stewartfield will be doing their bit to help companies struggling to put on a Christmas bash this year.

That sees them offer up a discounted festive menu. But the fayre is sure to be no less tasty, with scrumptious British turkey, all the trimmings and traditional Christmas pudding and custard on offer.

The supermarket is offering up the three-course traditional Christmas dinner for £7.50 to groups of 20 people or more for companies that may not be able to treat staff.

The Christmas Meal Deal has been created in response to research that shows 70 per cent of UK workers expect cut backs to their work parties because of tough trading conditions, economic uncertainty and fragile confidence.

Those figures suggest 1-in-20 expect their Christmas night out to be cancelled all together.

Tables for up to 20 can be booked at the Macneish Way store in East Kilbride now for Monday, November 25 to Monday, December 23.

Helen Tordoff, head of cafes at Morrisons, said: “Some small businesses have had a tough year so we have created the best Christmas meal for those on a budget.

“As our cafés regularly host group meet-ups, we thought we’d extend the invite to local companies so they can save some Christmas costs.

“It will mean that more people can get into the party spirit without breaking the bank.”

To book a table please visit the Morrisons Stewartfield store and ask for the café manager or community champion.
