Tickets for this year’s Glassford Beer and Gin Festival have sold out.

Organisers made the announcement online on Sunday, with briefs selling out just two months after going on sale.

Organised by the Glassford Community Group, the festival is set to take place on March 28 and will see around 1000 revellers enjoy a great community event.

That’s up on the 600 sold last year and testimony to how far the event has come since the original set-up in the Village Hall and Steayban restaurant two years ago.

On the day the village will come to a standstill with the closure of Jackson Street ensuring the party atmosphere takes to the streets.

Brewers and independent brands from across Scotland will flock to Avondale for the big day, with music and taste-testing events also on offer.

Last year’s event was a huge success and has seen this year’s event sell-out online. Those desperate to get their hands on tickets should PM the event Facebook page to ask about returns.

Sponsorship is still being taken for the event and those looking to support the events should contact the 2020 event page.

It costs £100 to be a sponsor and for that you get four tickets to the event, as well as publicity wherever the Beer and Gin Festival is promoted.

On the day each sponsor’s logo will be featured on large display boards at the event, some advertising on Facebook and will also be included in the event programme.

Beer and Gin Festival events will run from 12 noon till 9pm between the Village Hall, the Steayban and Jackson Street.
