Startof vitalwork onbridge
The A726 College Milton Rail Bridge is set to be refurbished this weekend.
Scotland TranServ will refurbish the East Kilbride bridge with concrete repairs and waterproofing of the bridge deck, as well as additional improvements to drainage, the installation of new containment kerbing and modernised pedestrian guardrails.
Footways will also be resurfaced including round 300m of resurfacing to the A726 carriageway.
The works begin on Sunday, March 15, and are expected to be completed by the end of May.
There will be a series of lane closures on the A726 between West Mains Road and Eaglesham Road Roundabouts.
Temporary traffic signals will be in place on the A726 westbound carriageway on approach to Eaglesham Road Roundabout to reduce congestion on Eaglesham Road.
From the beginning of April, phased pedestrian management will also be in place.
