EK OLD PARISH CHURCH

-

WHAT’S NEW

Sunday, August 30, the kirk session will be having a trial service in our church building.

Please note this is not a return to public worship as normal. The purpose of this is to see how feasible a return to worship in our church building would be, amidst all the changes which are currently taking place. Kirk session will then meet within the next few weeks to discuss the implications for the future. As a result, there may be some change to when our congregation can gain access to our Sunday service. There will be no pre-recorded service this Sunday, and instead, the service will be streamed live on You Tube. Details for how to access this service will be posted by Saturday 29th August, on our website and Facebook page. Members who receive our service through Dial a service, CD, DVD, or USB stick recordings, may receive these a little later than usual next week, to give time for recordings to be prepared.

Recently, our choir have been meeting through the medium of Zoom for fellowship and of course to sing together. They have recorded new materials and hymns for our online services over zoom, which have been very well received by our listeners.

Please Join us for worship, with or without the internet via:

You can also click on the ‘Watch a Service’ button for past videos. 2. At www.Facebook.com/EKOLDPC 3. Our ‘Dial-a-Service’ phone number playing an audio recording of the most recent service.

HELPING HANDS

Serving the needs of both our congregation and community, we make telephone calls (friendly chats, church updates, and pastoral support if and when required), and provide prescription collection, grocery shopping and mail services. We receive very positive feedback. As well as our ‘Helping Hands’ group, we have many individuals in the church calling others, doing their shopping etc. Please do use the service, and let others know about it if they need help.
