CCTV captures crooks dumping

An East Kilbride garage is appealing to mindless criminals to pick up the three mattresses and sink they dumped on their property before they call the cops.

Bosses at Spannerama, in Westgarth Place, discovered the mess (pictured) i n t h e i r y a r d l a s t Mo n d a y a f t e r returning from the weekend.

The garage’s hi g h- t e c h c amera system was able to capture the incident taking place, identifying the vehicle and men responsible.

A Fa c e b o o k p o s t p u b l i s h e d by the garage asked those involved to remove the rubbish before police were contacted.

A Spannerama s pokesman t ol d the News: “Our cameras have vehicle registration recognition and we are able t o zoom i n on t he plates. We put the appeal online in the hope t hat Facebook does i t ’s t hing and those involved come and remove the rubbish.

“If they don’t, I will provide police with the CCTV camera footage and vehicle registration plate.

“So whoever done it, best come and take it away again and dispose of it correctly.”
