Grab tickets for beer festival

-

Tickets for this year’s Eaglesham Beer Festival go on sale this week.

And organisers are urging would-be revellers to act quick to grab their tickets after a huge uptake at last week’s ticket sales event.

Locals in the sleepy village were given first chance to grab their briefs at the Eglinton Arms Hotel last Thursday – and boy, were they keen.

Organiser Fraser Wilson said:“I couldn’t believe how busy we were last week.

“I figured we might do a couple of hundred tickets, but we were slammed from the off. The second we opened the door, there was a queue of about 25-30 people.

“And it just didn’t dwindle for well over an hour. It was thirsty work.”

That saw around 700 tickets for the event sold, with Fraser warning the event could sell out in a matter of days once it goes on general sale.

Fans of the event can get their hands on the highly sought after tickets this week, with briefs going on sale at 9am on Friday at http://eagleshambeerfest. uk/

Having gone toe-to-toe with TRNSMT on a revised date last year, the popular event returned with a bang following an enforced break because of the coronavirus pandemic.

That saw thousands of people descend on Scotland’s first conservation village in early July for a fun-filled community event.

Having moved from their regular end of May/start of June slot, the festival will again run in July this year.

As well as an array of craft beers from some of Scotland’s best breweries, there will be gin, cocktails, wine and fantastic street food.

That will be backed up by fantastic live music and children’s entertainment.

Fraser added:“Last year’s deferred event was probably one of our best yet.

“There was a great family and community feel, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for more of the same this year.”

For more information on the event, tickets and who will be pouring, make sure and follow the festival’s socials on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
