Punters can take the mic at beer festival
One of the nation’s top karaoke bands is set to headline Eaglesham’s beer festival.
Bandeoke Scotland will accompany would-be superstars with full live backing as they take to the stage.
Andy McClean, from the band, said: “We’re absolutely buzzing to be playing the Eaglesham Beer Fest this year.”
Organiser Fraser Wilson told the East Kilbride News: “For a few years now I’ve wanted to try and introduce karaoke to the event.
“Every year at the end of the day, I see dozens of party-goers belting out the songs played by DJ Kev, so I figured they might want a shot in the limelight.
“It’s a fun way to get punters involved more in the day and I hope it offers added value to what’s already there.
“I’m sure it’ll be a hit – so much so, that I’ve said I’ll sing the first song with the guys from Bandeoke Scotland – which might actually see punters running for the exit!”
Alongside Bandeoke Scotland, The Engin33rs will perform in the live music tent, with Let’s Get Eclectic and friends set to steal the show once more in the main marquee.
Having gone toe-to-toe with TRNSMT on a revised date last year, the popular event returned with a bang to serve up a fun-filled day showcasing an array of craft beers from some of Scotland’s best breweries.
The now sold-out event will again run in July this year, as thousands of revellers descend on the village for a fun-filled community event.
Fraser added: “I honestly can’t quite believe how in demand tickets have been this year.
“Last year’s deferred event was probably our best yet and it created so
much demand and interaction for this year. As a result, we have sold out in record time, which is really humbling.
“We always strive to create a great family and community feel to our event, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone back for more of the same this year.”
As well as fantastic craft beer, there will
be gin, cocktails, wine and top quality street food available for those who have been lucky enough to get a ticket.
That will be backed up by the fantastic live music and children’s entertainment.
