There was plenty of water to be seen as Claremont Rambling Club visited New Lanark and the Falls of Clyde on Sunday, January 28.
Fortunately all of the water was rushing down the linns and not falling from the skies.
The usual good luck with the weather gave the walkers a mild, dry and slightly breezy day, with no rain until the club bus was on the road back home.
On the day, the hardiest members and visitors opted for a challenging nine-mile walk starting at Crossford and following the riverbank up and down hilly stretches, through muddy patches and over the odd fallen tree, ending up at New Lanark. The dramatic views more than made up for the effort required.
The other walkers did a slightly easier six miles around New Lanark, walking along both sides of the river and enjoying a worktop and a cupboard in the kitchen. Scales and a sieve were coated in a white powder.
The cocaine weighed 120g in total and was worth up to £4800.
Defence agent Andy Thomson said his client has been on bail since an initial court appearance and there has been no further offending.
Sheriff Colin Dunipace deferred sentence on Miller, now of Warwick, East Kilbride, until March for background reports. spectacular scenery.
Before the walks there was a coffee stop at Dobbies Sandyholm and well-earned refreshments were enjoyed at the customary social hour in Lanark afterwards.
