EK OLD PARISH CHURCH
SUNDAY SERVICE
Join us for worship on February 11 at the usual time of 11am in the Old Parish Church. Tea and coffee will be served after the service in the lower hall.

COMMUNION SERVICE
On Thursday, February 8, there will be a short lunch time service of communion in the church at 12pm followed by a light lunch in the lower hall at 12.30pm. Everyone is welcome
SUNDAY SCHOOL
This meets in the upper hall next to the church at the usual time of 11am where we cater for pre-school to P7. Children should be dropped off between 10.50am and 11am and be collected after the service.
YOUTH GROUP
This meets on Sundays from 3pm to 5pm in the youth group room, Glebe Street, and is for P7-S6.
CHURCH MAGAZINE
Our February edition of the ECO magazine is now available on line. Distributors can pick up their wallets for delivery from the vestibule in the lower hall.
CHILDREN’S ART GROUP
This meets on Thursday from 4.30pm until 6pm in the Glebe Street hall.
JUNOR BADMINTON CLUB
This meets Friday from 4pm until 5.30pm in the Glebe Street hall.
COFFEE MORNING
Join us with your friends on Thursday mornings from 10am until noon in the Glebe Street hall. Enjoy tea/coffee and tray bakes while getting a heat and some chat! All welcome.
CRAFT CLUB
This meets on a Wednesday in the lounge area of the church from 10am until noon. Lots of different crafts to enjoy along with a cuppa warmth and a chat. All welcome.
LOAVES AND FISHES
For the vulnerable in our community, there is a box at the church door on Sundays for non-perishable food, all toiletries, hygiene and cleaning products.
CARPET BOWLS
This will be on Monday, February 19, at 2pm in the Glebe Street hall. All welcome.
THE GUILD
The next meeting is on Wednesday, February 14, in the Glebe Street Hall at 2pm. There will be two speakers from the East Kilbride Heritage Group.
MEN’S ASSOCIATION
The next meeting is on Monday, February 12, at 2pm in the Glebe Street Hall. The Rev Alistair Lusk will be our speaker. His address is entitled ‘Without words, what can we say?’. All welcome.
WARM SPACES
Our winter initiative is up and running again in the lounge area of the church on Tuesday mornings from 9am till 12pm. Come along, enjoy a cuppa, a heat, charge your phone and have company.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
World Day of Prayer – Friday, March 1, at 2pm in St Bride’s Church. Members of local churches will take part. The service this year has been prepared by a group of Palestinian Christian women. All are welcome.
Lent Bible Studies based on Chocolat – These will be held weekly on a Friday beginning February 16 and finishing on March 22. All the sessions will begin at noon in the lower hall and will include a soup lunch.
Messy Church – Sunday, March 3, 2pm to 4pm in the Glebe Street Hall. Messy Church is for all ages. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult. If attending please let Iain Shaw know in advance for catering purposes. All Welcome
Sestercentennial family quiz afternoon – Sunday, March 24, in the Glebe Street hall. More info to come.
