SOUTH PARISH CHURCH CHURCH SERVICES

Sunday church services are at 10.30am, with tea and coffee available after the service. The service is also available on Zoom.

BIBLE STUDY

The weekly Bible studies continue for those who are interested on Wednesdays at 7.30pm.

FOODBANK

The EK Foodbank continues to be available for people who need its services, for one hour only on Thursdays from 11am to 12pm.

Refreshmen­ts are also available on the day while the foodbank is in operation.

EK OLD PARISH CHURCH SUNDAY SERVICE

Join us for worship on February 18 at the usual time of 11am in the Old Parish

Church. Tea and coffee will be served after the service in the lower hall.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

This meets in the upper hall next to the church at the usual time of 11am where we cater for pre-school to P7. Children should be dropped off between 10.50am and 11am and be collected after the service.

YOUTH GROUP

This meets on Sundays from 3pm to 5pm in the youth group room, Glebe Street, and is for P7-S6.

LENT BIBLE STUDIES

Based on the book and film Chocolat, sessions will be held weekly on Fridays, beginning February 16 and finishing on March 22. All the sessions will begin at noon in the lower hall and will include a soup lunch. Our first session begins with a showing of the film. Eating of chocolate is optional! Please note this is open to all and not just EKOPC members.

CHILDREN’S ART GROUP

This meets on Thursday from 4.30pm until 6pm in the Glebe Street hall.

JUNOR BADMINTON CLUB

This meets Friday from 4pm until 5.30pm in the Glebe Street hall.

COFFEE MORNING

Join us with your friends on Thursday mornings from 10am until noon in the Glebe Street hall. Enjoy tea/coffee and tray bakes while getting a heat and some chat! All welcome.

CRAFT CLUB

This meets on a Wednesday in the lounge area of the church from 10am until noon. Lots of different crafts to enjoy along with a cuppa warmth and a chat. All welcome.

LOAVES AND FISHES

For the vulnerable in our community, there is a box at the church door on Sundays for non-perishable food, all toiletries, hygiene and cleaning products.

CARPET BOWLS

This will be on Monday, February 19, at 2pm in the Glebe Street hall. All welcome.

THE GUILD

The next meeting is on Wednesday, February 14, in the Glebe Street Hall at 2pm. There will be two speakers from the East Kilbride Heritage Group.

MEN’S ASSOCIATIO­N

The next meeting is on Monday, February 26, at 2pm in the Glebe Street Hall. There will be two speakers from the East Kilbride Heritage Group.

WARM SPACES

Our winter initiative is up and running again in the lounge area of the church on Tuesday mornings from 9am till 12pm. Come along, enjoy a cuppa, a heat, charge your phone and have company.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

World Day of Prayer – Friday, March 1, at 2pm in St Bride’s Church. Members of local churches will take part. The service this year has been prepared by a group of Palestinia­n Christian women. All are welcome.

Messy Church – Sunday, March 3, 2pm to 4pm in the Glebe Street Hall. Messy Church is for all ages. Children must be accompanie­d by at least one adult. If attending please let Iain Shaw know in advance for catering purposes. All Welcome

Sestercent­ennial family quiz afternoon – Sunday, March 24, in the Glebe Street hall. More info to come.

Our church continues to be open for worship every Sunday, starting from 11am.

Coffee mornings are held every Tuesday, from 10am to 11.30am. They are always well supported by the local community.

Maboob Mashi, who is our interim moderator, is supporting the congregati­on.

CLAREMONT CHURCH CHURCH SERVICE

The Sunday service on February 18 will be at 10.30am, all are welcome.

Junior Church is for ages 5-11 and Youth Church for S1 – S6.

Our Sunday morning service is also live streamed each week and can be watched on our website or YouTube channel. Creche facilities are also available. Midweek Fellowship is on Thursday, February 15, at 1.30pm.

Ladies’ Circle is on Tuesday, February 20, at 1.30pm

Good Companions is on Thursday, February 22, at 1.15pm.

East Kilbride Deaf Church is on Sunday, February 25, at 2.30pm.
