Meera Syal play on BBC

A NEW series of digital plays featuring British Asian actress Meera Syal (above)

will be coming to the BBC later this month.

Unprecedented will feature more than 50 actors in a new series of plays, written by 14 playwrights and 11 directors. Syal is set to star in House Party,

centred on a fictional south London street in a virtual drinking session on an online app.

The series will also feature plays starring Save Me actor Lennie James and Gavin and Stacey actress Alison Steadman. Eleven plays in Unprecedented will be broadcast on BBC Four from Tuesday (26) with an additional three plays available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
