No reason to fear vaccine,
KAMLABEN M PATEL, 84, received her vaccination at Edgeware’s Hive centre in London on December 17.
Originally from Bochasan in Gujarat and currently living in north Harrow, the mother of Harrow councillor Anjana Patel said, “No, I wasn’t afraid of getting vaccinated. When we went to get the vaccine, the marshals at the vaccination centre were there with wheelchairs.
“The nurse asked me if I had any allergies, whether I was taking any medications that caused allergies.
“After he was convinced I had no allergies, he gave me the vaccine. I was asked to sit for 15 minutes to check if I had any side effects or reactions to the vaccine, but I didn’t have any pain or discomfort. The next day I didn’t have any side effects, reaction, pain or fever from the vaccine.
“Some of my friends are afraid and don’t want to get vaccinated. But based on my experience, there is no need to be scared or have a misunderstanding about the vaccine.
“I was given all the information before I was vaccinated. My daughter was with me, so she explained it to me in Gujarati.
“My advice is that everyone must get vaccinated.”
