LOW-BUDGET FILMS BOMB AT CINEMAS

WITH big Bollywood blockbusters postponing release dates or going straight to streaming sites, the smaller budget movies have made use of cinema space being available in India. Unfortunately, with the seating capacity being drastically reduced due to social distancing and people being afraid to venture out during a pandemic, they are playing to empty cinemas, which kind of defeats the purpose. The next one to try a cinema release is army drama Fauji Calling (right) later this month, but like all other recent releases it will likely play in empty cinemas.
