Asian leads new musical

A NEW musical starring an Asian lead is set to be streamed next month.

Announced by Lambert Jackson Productions last week, BKLYN – The Musical features Sejal Keshwala as Faith, a young girl who travels to the US to find the father she never knew. A story within a story, the plot is revealed by a troupe of street performers. The production, filmed at the Ugly Duck space in London, will be available from March 22 until April 4.

Lambert Jackson Production’s CEO and creative director, Jamie Lambert and Eliza Jackson, respectively, said they were “incredibly proud” of the show.

“We cannot wait for audiences to see our latest offering, our most ambitious to date,” they said. “BKLYN is a show for all the dreamers out there. We felt it was the perfect time to give people that story.”
