ASTROLOGY is not a science. It is a kind of a sign language. By reading certain signs, people are able to make certain types of predictions, but these are never 100 per cent accurate. Based on certain indications you are making a guess that it will go a certain way.
It may go that way if you live a very unconscious life, but if you become a little more conscious, it will never go that way and you can make it go the way you want.
Planets – Mars, Venus or whatever, are just inanimate objects. Inanimate things should not decide the course of your life. Human nature is much more significant than inanimate things, isn’t it? If your human nature is active, then inanimate things cannot influence you. If your human nature has been put to sleep, and you are just going around like a physical body then planets have some influence on you.
Do you know that on full moon and new moon nights, people who are a little mentally disturbed and psychologically fragile will get even more imbalanced? Does everybody else also go crazy on full moon nights? No, because compared to that person, you are a little more stable. Because you are stable, wherever the moon goes it does not matter; you remain the same person. But it is not so with that mentally imbalanced person because the magnetic pull of the moon is causing certain impact on the system; it can disturb the system.
Fundamentally, the moon has an influence on your life, but you do not notice it because you are stable. Similarly, if you are much more stable, let every planet go wherever it goes, you will go only where you want to go. If you are not so stable, you can be pulled and pushed by many objects. Every object has an influence on you because every object has a reverberation attached to it.
Do not let inanimate objects decide the course of human life. Human nature is much more than that. It is only because people have not realised the immensity of what it means to be human, people are constantly talking about gods and heavens and planets.
It is a disgrace to human nature if it is already written down. If you see a fool, you can clearly say, ‘okay, this is what he is going to do for the rest of his life’.
With an intelligent person, can we predict what he will do tomorrow? He may do something that has never happened before.
If a human being is set on something, no matter what, no force in the existence can stop him from attaining to that, especially when it comes to the inner nature; there is nobody and nothing in the existence which can stop you. Even if God himself wants to stop you, he cannot stop you, if you are set on how you want to be. Right now, if you are set, if you have decided this moment I will be joyful, can God stop you? No. Nothing in the existence can stop you.
You can determine the course of your life, no matter where the planets are going.
