Journalism award for Samir Shah
SAMIR SHAH CBE last month won the Royal Television Society (RTS)’s Outstanding Contribution Award for services during his 40-year career, as well as his commitment to diversity in television journalism.
Shah, 70, won the award at the RTS Journalism Awards on February 23. Shah has worked at ITV and the BBC. He bought Juniper TV in 1998 and since then has been the company’s CEO and creative director. In 2019, he was awarded a CBE for services to heritage and TV.
