Arush Paul joins Caparo India
THE grandson of British Indian industrialist Lord Swraj Paul has joined Caparo India as the vice chairman and CEO.
Arush Paul (above) is the son of Caparo India chairman Akash Paul, and joined the business in 2009. He became part of the expansion of the group’s UK steel tube distribution arm from 2012-2014.
Prior to his appointment to his current role, the arts graduate from the University of Nottingham concentrated on Caparo India business development with a focus on the group’s fasteners division.
Arush has also been the director at Caparo Power Limited since October 2020 and at Caparo MI Steel Processing Private Limited since December in the same year.
Previously, he worked at Caparo Engineering India Limited for seven years, serving in various positions such as operations and marketing manager, chief strategy officer and director, in that order.
Caparo India is involved in automotive and precession engineering and holds a 75 per cent stake in Caparo Maruti, its joint venture with automaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
Caparo India is part of the diversified conglomerate Caparo, founded by Lord Paul.
Having a presence in North America, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and India, the London-headquartered family business has an interest predominantly in the design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of value-added steel and niche engineering products.
