BBQ green bananas
Serves two to four Ingredients:
■ 3-4 green bananas
■ juice of a large lemon
■ runny honey (optional)
■ chilli powder
■ salt
Method:
■ Grill the bananas with their skins on – either on a barbecue or a very hot griddle pan. Let the skins blacken on one side for about five minutes and then flip over to blacken the other side.
■ Slit them open lengthways, drizzle over lemon juice and honey (if you’re using it), and then sprinkle on the chilli powder and salt to your taste.
