‘Gracious and appreciative’
Cyrus Todiwala, chef: The times I met the Queen, she was gracious, humble, soft-spoken and always appreciative.
For the Diamond Jubilee in 2012, I cooked for Her Majesty. In all her graciousness, she met
every single chef who came to help us on that day. And some of the other people – because we also had service staff or students from the local college, who would never have got an opportunity like that before.
She met everybody. It was a very, very good afternoon.
