Chestnuts with sugar and spice
Serves six
Ingredients:
■ 350g cooked and peeled chestnuts
■ 1 tbsp butter
■ ½ tbsp sea salt
■ 2tsp soft brown sugar
■ ½ tsp cinnamon powder
■ ¼ tsp mixed spice
Method:
■ In a frying pan, melt the butter, add the sea salt, soft brown sugar, cinnamon powder and mixed spice. Stir and cook on a low heat until the soft brown sugar has dissolved. Add the prepared chestnuts to the butter mixture and stir to coat. Let the chestnuts heat through and eat warm.
