TRIBUTES FOR PUNJABI STAR

GLOWING tributes were paid to legendary actress Daljeet Kaur (left) after she passed away aged 69. The leading lady, once compared to Hema Malini, starred in iconic Punjabi films like Saidan Jogan, Putt Jattan De, Mamla Garbar Hai, and Laajo. Later in life, she played strong supporting roles in hit Punjabi films like Jee Aayan Nu and Singh Vs Kaur. She was also a national hockey and kabaddi player in her younger days. Gurdas Maan, who sang a smash hit 2015 song inspired by the title of her 1986 film Kee Banu Duniyan Daa, described her as the epitome of beauty and said Indian cinema would remember her forever.
